Overview
ComplianceBuddy is an online platform for business registration, tax and compliance services in India. Businesses can buy the service they need — company incorporation, GST registration and returns, trademark registration, income tax filing, licences and ongoing compliance — and have it handled end to end. Sodio built the platform.
The catalogue is wide, and every service works differently. Each has its own documents, its own government portal and its own timeline, and much of that timeline sits with government departments rather than the platform. The product had to turn that variety into one consistent experience: choose a service, pay, upload documents, and follow progress until the work is done.
Behind the customer experience sits the operations side: every order routed to the team handling it, documents collected and checked, and status updated as each stage completes, so nothing in a large catalogue falls between the cracks.

The client wanted a one-stop online platform for Indian business compliance — the registrations, filings and renewals every business needs, available to buy and manage online rather than through a patchwork of consultants and paperwork.
The brief was a platform that could carry a large and growing catalogue of services, make each one straightforward for a business owner to buy and complete, and give the operations team a reliable way to deliver many different processes at once without losing track of any of them.
/// Our Approach
We built the catalogue on a common structure rather than as a collection of one-off pages. Every service is defined by the same building blocks — what it includes, the documents it needs, the stages it moves through and what the customer receives at the end — so the catalogue can grow without each new service becoming its own project, and every service behaves consistently for the customer.
Documents were treated as the centre of the process. Most delays in compliance work come from missing or incorrect paperwork, so the platform asks for exactly what each service needs, lets customers upload from their phone or computer, and shows clearly what is still outstanding before work can begin.
Because so much of the timeline depends on government processing, visibility mattered more than speed. Customers can see which stage their order has reached and what happens next, and the operations team sees every order, its documents and its status in one place — which keeps both sides from chasing each other for updates.

Business owners choose a service, upload what is needed and follow progress without having to chase for updates. The operations team works from one system across the whole catalogue, with every order, document and status visible.
Compliance is rarely anyone’s favourite task, and the platform is built around that: it makes the work clear, keeps the paperwork in order, and gets out of the way.
