Eyal Zayed – Mobile School Management Platform
A mobile-first school management platform that puts attendance, fees, timetables and parent communication on the phones of the people who use them every day — administrators, teachers and parents.
Overview
Eyal Zayed is a mobile-first school management platform built by Sodio. It brings a school’s daily administration — admissions, attendance, fee collection, timetabling and parent communication — into apps used by administrators, teachers and parents.
Most of a school’s daily activity happens away from a desk. Teachers mark attendance in the classroom, administrators move between offices, and parents are rarely at a computer. Building the platform around the phone means each of those groups can do what they need from wherever they are, and information reaches parents as it happens rather than at the end of the week.
Each role sees what it needs. Administrators manage admissions, fees and timetables across the school. Teachers record attendance and communicate with their classes. Parents see attendance, fees due, schedules and school notices in one place, and receive a notification when something needs their attention.

/// The Brief
The brief was a school management system the whole school community would actually use — not a back-office tool that staff update after the fact, but an everyday app for administrators, teachers and parents alike.
That meant it had to be simple enough for a teacher to mark attendance in the minute before a lesson starts, and for parents of every level of comfort with technology to find what they need. It also had to handle sensitive information about children securely, with each person seeing only what their role allows.
/// Our Approach
We designed for the phone first and treated every screen as something used in a spare minute rather than at a desk. Marking attendance takes a few taps per class, fee reminders and notices go out as notifications, and the actions each role performs most often sit closest to hand.
The platform is built around three roles with different needs. The administrator view covers the school as a whole — admissions, fee collection, timetables and reporting. The teacher view focuses on their own classes. The parent view shows only their own children, and keeps communication from the school in one place.
Because the platform holds information about children, access control was designed in from the start. Each user sees only what their role requires, parent accounts are tied to their own children, and personal data is handled with the care a school owes its families.
/// The Result
The result is Eyal Zayed: a mobile school management platform that brings administrators, teachers and parents onto the same system, each with the view they need.
Attendance is recorded as it happens, fees and notices reach parents directly on their phones, and the school office manages admissions, timetables and payments from one place.
Most importantly, it is a system the whole school community uses every day — which is the only way school software delivers on what it promises.
