Nestlé – Sales Management Platform
A sales management platform built for Nestlé, giving field sales teams one place to plan visits, capture orders and track targets, and giving sales leadership real-time visibility of performance across the team.
Overview
Sodio built a sales management platform for Nestlé, one of the world’s largest food and beverage companies. The platform brings a sales team’s day-to-day activity — visits, orders and targets — into one system, and turns it into a live view of performance for sales leadership.
For the sales team, the platform provides a single workflow: plan the day, log each customer visit, capture orders, and see progress against target. For managers, the same activity becomes a real-time picture of coverage, results and performance across territories and individuals.
At Nestlé’s scale, consistency matters as much as capability. Every salesperson works to the same process and records the same information, so the data managers rely on is comparable across the whole team rather than dependent on how each individual keeps their notes.

/// The Brief
Nestlé needed a clearer view of how its sales team was performing — not only the orders that came in, but the activity behind them: which customers were visited, how often, and what each visit produced.
The brief was a platform that field salespeople would actually use every day, and that gave sales leadership reliable, real-time data to manage performance. For an enterprise of Nestlé’s scale, it also had to meet the standard of security, reliability and consistency a global brand expects from any system its people depend on.
/// Our Approach
We designed the platform around the salesperson’s day rather than around the report a manager wanted. If logging a visit or capturing an order is slow, it gets skipped, and every report built on top of it becomes unreliable. So the core actions were made quick and simple, and reporting was built from what the team was already doing rather than added as an extra task.
For sales leadership, we built dashboards that turn field activity into performance views — targets against actuals, coverage by territory, and individual and team trends — updated as activity is recorded rather than compiled at the end of the month.
The platform was built to enterprise standards throughout: role-based access so each person sees what their role requires, secure handling of commercial data, and a consistent data model so performance can be compared fairly across teams and regions.
/// The Result
The result is a sales management platform that gives Nestlé’s sales team a single, consistent way to plan, record and track their work, and gives sales leadership a real-time view of performance.
Because the platform was designed around the salesperson’s day, the data it produces reflects what actually happens in the field. Managers can see coverage, activity and results as they happen, and act on them during the period rather than after it.
For Sodio, the project shows what building for a global enterprise requires: software simple enough for the field, reliable enough for leadership to run the business on, and built to the standard a brand like Nestlé expects.
