The client wanted to launch an Indian cryptocurrency exchange into a crowded market where trust was thin. Most platforms made crypto feel technical and intimidating, and a large share of new users abandoned sign-up before their account was even verified.

The brief was a platform that made the whole journey — sign-up, verification, deposit and first trade — fast and easy to understand, while handling user funds and identity data with the security an exchange demands. Speed of KYC was a specific priority, because every extra hour between sign-up and a verified account is where new users drop away.

We started with onboarding, because that is where exchanges win or lose their users. The KYC flow was designed to be completed quickly on a phone, with clear guidance at each step, so a new user reaches a verified, tradable account with as little waiting as possible.

For trading, the priority was clarity. We designed an interface that shows a new user what they need to act with confidence — prices, balances and a simple buy and sell flow — while keeping the depth experienced traders expect available rather than forced on everyone.

Underneath, an exchange is a system that holds other people’s money, so security shaped the build throughout: protected authentication, careful handling of identity documents, and controls around deposits and withdrawals. The platform was built to be dependable first and fast second, because in a crypto exchange, trust is the product.
