Shopdee – On-Demand Delivery App
An on-demand grocery platform with three connected apps — for customers ordering, sellers packing and delivery partners on the road — built so every order moves cleanly from the basket to the doorstep.
Overview
Shopdee is an on-demand grocery delivery platform. Customers order groceries from local sellers through the app, sellers prepare the order, and a delivery partner brings it to the door. Sodio built all three apps — customer, seller and delivery partner — and the system that connects them.
A single grocery order passes through three pairs of hands, each with different needs. The customer wants to find what they need quickly and know when it will arrive. The seller needs to see incoming orders clearly and get them packed. The delivery partner needs the pickup, the drop-off and the route, with as few taps as possible while on the move.
Grocery adds its own difficulty. Stock changes by the hour, baskets are large and varied, and customers are often ordering for a meal they want to cook soon. The platform keeps all three sides looking at the same order, in real time, from checkout to doorstep.

The client wanted to bring on-demand grocery delivery to its market, connecting customers with local sellers and a network of delivery partners.
The brief was three apps that worked as one system: a customer app simple enough for a weekly shop or a quick top-up, a seller app that made fulfilling orders fast and accurate, and a delivery partner app built for use on the road. If any one of the three fell behind, the order would stall in front of a waiting customer.
/// Our Approach
We designed the order as the one thing all three apps share. It moves from placed to accepted, packed, picked up and delivered, and each app shows the part that matters to its user. The customer sees progress, the seller sees what to pack next, and the delivery partner sees where to go.
Each app was built for the conditions its user works in. The customer app keeps browsing and checkout fast across a large catalogue. The seller app puts incoming orders and items to pack front and centre, so a busy shop can keep up at peak times. The delivery partner app is built for one-handed use on the move, with pickup, drop-off and navigation a tap away.
Keeping the three in step was the core engineering work. Order and delivery status update across all three apps as they change, so the customer always sees where their order is, and a delivery partner is never sent to collect an order that is not ready yet.

The result is Shopdee: an on-demand grocery platform with three connected apps for customers, sellers and delivery partners.
Customers can order their groceries in a few taps and follow the order to their door. Sellers fulfil orders from one clear queue, and delivery partners get exactly what they need to collect and deliver without calling anyone to ask.
It is a platform where the three apps only matter as much as the connection between them — and that connection is what the build was designed around.
