TATA TISCON – Sales Management Platform
A sales management platform built for TATA TISCON, Tata Steel’s rebar brand, giving the sales team one place to manage dealer visits, orders and targets, and giving leadership real-time visibility across the network.
Overview
TATA TISCON is Tata Steel’s brand of rebar, used across residential and commercial construction. Sodio built a sales management platform that brings the sales team’s day-to-day activity — dealer visits, orders and targets — into one system, and turns it into a live view of performance for sales leadership.
Selling steel for construction is different from selling consumer goods. Sales move through a network of distributors and dealers, and demand follows construction activity rather than shelf replenishment, so the relationship with each dealer matters as much as any single order. The platform gives salespeople one workflow for managing those relationships: plan visits, record each meeting, capture orders and track progress against target.
For leadership, the same activity becomes a real-time picture of the network — which dealers are being covered, where orders are coming from, and how each territory and salesperson is performing against plan.

/// The Brief
TATA TISCON needed clearer visibility of how its sales team worked with the dealer network — which dealers were visited, how often, and what those relationships produced in orders.
The brief was a platform the sales team would use every day in the field, producing reliable, real-time data for leadership. As a Tata Steel brand, it also had to meet the standard of security, reliability and consistency expected of any system inside one of India’s largest industrial groups.
/// Our Approach
We designed the platform around the salesperson’s relationship with each dealer rather than around individual transactions. A dealer’s history — visits, orders and follow-ups — sits in one place, so whoever makes the next visit knows what happened on the last one.
Logging had to be fast enough to survive a full day of dealer and site visits. Recording a visit or capturing an order takes seconds, and reporting is built from that activity rather than added as a separate task, so the data leadership sees reflects what actually happened in the field.
For leadership, dashboards show targets against actuals, dealer coverage by territory, and individual and team performance, updated as activity is recorded. Role-based access and a consistent data model keep commercial data secure and make performance comparable across regions.
/// The Result
The result is a sales management platform that gives TATA TISCON’s sales team one consistent way to manage dealer relationships, orders and targets, and gives leadership a live view of the network.
Because each dealer’s history sits in one place, relationships do not depend on any one salesperson’s memory, and coverage gaps become visible before they turn into lost business.
Alongside the Nestlé platform, the project shows Sodio building sales systems for two very different kinds of enterprise — consumer goods and industrial steel — where the underlying discipline is the same: software simple enough for the field, and reliable enough for leadership to run the business on.
